Within the Nucleus

I am feeling very much within and outside of myself right now. I imagine the structure of an atom. The pulsations of the protons and neutrons with the electrons orbiting the nucleus. I imagine the softness of my red blood cells. The compressed discs, crimson, and saturated with life. I am within the coagulated oxygen, the sustenance that builds my life and shifts my thoughts through the corridors of my brain.

I imagine the neubla within Orion’s belt, the space tortoise with her egg tooth incising the universe. With the streaks of light within her gullet, the embryonic stars, she is alpha and omega, beginning and end. She is the center of life. She is the center of celestial death. The dust that plumes through her core spirals into new stars. The nuclei of life. The epicenter of the tides that shift and form our cosmos.

Inside. Outside. Within the center of life. Outside the center and watching how life moves forward, around. Orbiting me and my entity like electrons orbiting the center. I am the electrons orbiting. I am the protons or neutrons, in stasis. Touching the sides. Finding the edges. Looking over.

Ready to take a leap.
